Training Internal Agents to Effect Change in Organizations
The rate of change in today’s organizations means that the need to apply and sustain change efforts is continual and complex. In today’s competitive business environment, organizations need trained change agents working from the inside. In our experience, an outside consultant partnering with internal change agents who know the system is the best way to facilitate change. We bring new ideas and best practices from other organizations. The training and commitment to the process motivates leaders and gives them the tools to help others throughout the organization. This unique partnership is the hallmark of effective capacity building in organizations. Our work in this area produces change agents who have: | A common theoretical base, skills framework, and the attitudes and awareness necessary to effect change in your organization | | The ability to consult on how best to manage change with those responsible for improved organizational effectiveness | | Skills for developing and facilitating trainings and policy changes | | Training to provide on-going support to sustain your change efforts | A major contribution of change agents to their organizations is the ability to understand and use their own strengths—personal and professional—in what is called self as instrument of change. This requires that change agents develop the capacity to assess their strengths and limitations, as well as use professional development plans tailored to enhance and use those strengths. Our work also gives your change agents this ability. How we do it | Through workshops and other educational experiences that increase skills, knowledge, and awareness in the various aspects of: adult education and training consulting in organizations | | By virtual or on-site organizational consultation and follow-up to support workshop learnings | | By co-consulting, co-training, and mentoring to participants after a workshop | What’s unique about our approach | We combine the latest theories and models with skills development and attention to participants’ own styles, knowledge, attitudes | | We practice the principles that we teach, serving as active role models to those we train | | We custom-design manuals to support our programs and your organization in English or Spanish | | We have over twenty years of experience doing capacity building in for-profit and non-profit organizations | Work ExperienceConsulting
